Kathryn Lombardo, MD

Image of Kathryn Lombardo, MDKathryn Lombardo, MD, is the President of Olmsted Medical Center. Prior to her appointment as OMC president in 2013, she served as the physician chair of OMC's Psychiatry and Psychology department. A board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Lombardo continues to provide clinical care for patients at Olmsted Medical Center. She joined Olmsted Medical Center in 1994 and previously served on OMC's Board of Governors for three terms.

In addition to her work at Olmsted Medical Center, Dr. Lombardo serves on the Zumbro Valley Medical Society Executive Committee, Minnesota Medical Association (MMA) Policy Council, MMA Task Force on Physician Aid-in-Dying, Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) Board of Directors, MHA Mental and Behavioral Health Committee, and the Minnesota Department of Human Services Drug Formulary Committee.  She currently chairs the Minnesota Medical Association's Telehealth Task Force and is a member of the American College of Psychiatrists.

Dr. Lombardo obtained her undergraduate degree from Lake Forest College and her doctorate from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Her priority is to emphasize the mission of Olmsted Medical Center: the delivery of exceptional patient care focusing on caring, quality, safety, and service.
