Billing information

At Olmsted Medical Center, we believe that good health starts with great care.™ And here, great care is not limited to your exam room. We want your entire experience to be the best it can be. Our professional patient accounts professionals are here to assist you with the financial details related to your healthcare needs.

Olmsted Medical Center is committed to fair and accurate billing for all services we provide. If you have questions or concerns about your Olmsted Medical Center account or statements, or if you would like to speak with a representative about your account, please call our Patient Accounts department at 507.287.2780.

  • Payment for co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered services is expected at the time of service. Olmsted Medical Center will file claims to your insurance once complete information is provided. Please note: Insurance verification and precertification do not guarantee payment. Contact your insurance company for specific coverage information.

  • Self-Pay: We request payment in full at the time of service. If payment is not made on the day of service, you will receive a bill that requires payment in full.

  • Bank Loan: If you need a long-term payment plan for your account balance, please contact Business Services.

  • Financial Assistance: If you need financial assistance and cannot afford to pay for your medical services, we have an income/asset-based assistance program. Please contact Business Services for more information.

  • Extended payment options: If extended payments are necessary, arrangements can be made by contacting Business Services.

  • Price Estimates: It is difficult to quote an exact price for medical services because each patient receives care tailored to his or her individual needs. We will quote a price range with the understanding that the quote is only an estimate.

  • As a service to our patients, Olmsted Medical Center attempts to identify high-cost services before you experience them. Whenever possible, we will inform you of your estimated financial responsibility for your procedure or service to assist you in planning for your financial obligation.
