Prenatal & Family Education

The OMC Prenatal & Family Education team provides classes and support for pregnancy, the birthing experience, the time immediately following delivery, breastfeeding and more. We also address the important role that support partners play in the birthing process.

Research on labor, birth, and parenting shows those who participate in childbirth preparation are less anxious, cope better, and are more confident. When you are prepared, you know what to expect, can consider all options, and make the best choices for you and your family.

Some education is provided on an individual basis; and other classes taught in small-group settings. This personalized approach ensures your unique needs are considered and all your questions answered.

For classes held in the Founders Room at the Hospital, here is a map to the room.
