Occupational Therapist
Location: Rehabilitation Services - Elton Hills Drive NW
Department: Rehabilitation Services
FTE: 1.0
Shifts:
- Week days, day shift, Monday - Friday
- Five 8-hour shifts
Qualifications:
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Minnesota Occupational Therapy license
- Ability to work with all age ranges
- Current CPR certification
- Dysphagia evaluation/treatment preferred
- Highly skilled in splint fabrication
- Cognitive evaluations
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Neurologic experience desired
- Lymphedema and wound experience desired
- Vehicle for travel between Rochester locations
Position Responsibilities:
- Splinting and hand therapy
- Bed-side swallow evaluations and video swallow studies
- Differentiating symptoms caused by cervical radiculitis
- Acute care inpatient
- Outpatient evaluation of sprains, strains, tendonitis, fractures, post-op care, functional limitations, and ADL training
- Cognitive evaluations for safety and memory impairment
- Education of nursing staff and family members as needed
- Continued program and service development and growth, including marketing activities
