Each year, OMC contributes millions of dollars in community support through:
- free and discounted care for patients in need
- health education and outreach programs
- partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and local organizations
- volunteer service by OMC employees.
In 2024, OMC provided more than $70 million in community benefit value, supporting dozens of local programs and initiatives that help our region thrive.
Supporting Local Organizations
OMC partners with community groups that share our commitment to improving health and well-being. Our Community Investment Advisory Council provides financial support, sponsorships, and in-kind donations to organizations in areas such as:
- youth fitness and safety — including local sports leagues and bike safety programs
- arts and culture — community theater, music, and public art projects
- education — scholarships and health career development for area students
- health and wellness — mental health awareness events, blood drives, and health fairs
- human services — organizations supporting food security, housing, and family needs.
Recent examples include:
- sponsorship of Berne Wood-Fired Pizza Summer Concert Series, promoting community connection and outdoor activity
- partnership with Channel One Regional Food Bank to support food access
- support for Rochesterfest Health & Wellness Expo and local school fitness initiatives.
OMC Employee Volunteerism
Our team members extend OMC’s mission beyond clinic walls. Employees volunteer at local events, mentor students, and participate in community wellness programs. These personal contributions reflect OMC’s belief that strong communities and good health go hand in hand.
