Olmsted Medical Center Streamlines Walk-In Care with Unified Urgent Care Location

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Olmsted Medical Center (OMC) is strengthening access to same-day care by bringing its walk-in services together into a single Urgent Care location at its Miracle Mile Clinic. Beginning May 18, OMC will combine services from its FastCare® location with the Rochester Northwest Clinic Acute Care team to create one centralized Urgent Care location.

This transition supports OMC’s commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a way that ensures reliable access for the community while aligning staffing and resources more efficiently. Patients will continue to have convenient access to walk-in care at the Miracle Mile Clinic, along with the option to receive care through OMC’s On-Demand Video-Visits when an in-person visit isn’t necessary.

“Bringing our walk-in care teams together in one location allows us to strengthen coverage and provide a more consistent experience for patients,” said Carrie Kranz, Director of Primary Care. “By unifying these services, we can better coordinate staff, improve scheduling stability, and ensure dependable access to same-day care for our community.”

Many of the experienced clinicians and staff who previously cared for patients through FastCare® and Rochester Northwest Clinic Acute Care will continue serving patients together within the new Urgent Care department. Patients can continue to seek care for common illnesses and minor injuries without an appointment.

OMC encourages patients who need flexible care options to also utilize On-Demand Video Visits, which allows patients to connect with a provider online from home.
