Olmsted Medical Center to Host Open House at New Owatonna Clinic
Rochester, MN – Olmsted Medical Center (OMC) is excited to announce the opening of its new clinic and ambulatory surgical center (ASC) in Owatonna, set to begin serving patients on June 24, 2025. In celebration, OMC invites patients and the community to attend an open house on Monday, June 23, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the new facility, located at 210 North Oak Avenue, Suite 100, Owatonna, MN 55060.
The new clinic marks a significant expansion of OMC’s mission to provide patient-centered, community-focused, and future-oriented healthcare. With family medicine, acute care, select specialty services, and outpatient surgical procedures offered under one roof, the clinic is designed to bring convenient, high-quality care closer to home for Owatonna and the surrounding region.
“OMC has served southeastern Minnesota as a trusted healthcare provider since 1949,” said Rob Cunningham, Chief Operating Officer at OMC. “We’re proud to extend our commitment to personalized, patient-centered care by offering another option for residents in and around Owatonna who currently travel to our Rochester clinics.”
The new OMC – Owatonna clinic will offer extended weekday hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, along with access to on-demand video visits in the evening hours via OMC MyChart. Services will include family medicine, podiatry, obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN), psychiatry, cardiology, and additional visiting specialties. The ASC will begin surgical procedures on August 13, and will perform procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, biopsies, and women’s health and foot care treatments. Orthopedics, ophthalmology, and other services will be added in 2026.
“As Owatonna continues to grow along the I-35 corridor, we look forward to building new relationships and expanding healthcare access for patients in this vibrant and dynamic community,” added Mark Wilbur, MD, Chief Medical Officer.
The public open house on June 23 will feature guided tours, opportunities to meet providers and staff, and an inside look at the clinic’s modern design.
Media are invited to attend the ribbon cutting event at 11:00 AM with opportunities for interviews between 11:15 AM and 1:00 PM. Media should check in at the designated welcome station near the main entrance, where a staff member will provide press kits, event information, and coordinate interview opportunities with key spokespeople.
