Safe Steps, Strong Lives: Confident Aging in Community
Join us for a one-day conference designed to empower older adults, caregivers, healthcare professionals, students, and community members with the knowledge and tools to age safely, confidently, and with dignity. Hosted by Olmsted Medical Center Active Aging Services, Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota, and Family Service Rochester, this fifth annual event brings together experts across healthcare, safety, and community support to share practical strategies for navigating the opportunities and challenges of aging.
Throughout the day, attendees will explore a wide range of timely topics, including:
- advance care planning
- mental health and substance use support
- grief and loss
- cybersecurity and scam prevention
- driving assessments
- home safety
- strengthening exercises
- ageism, and
- self-care.
Whether you are a caregiver, nurse, social worker, healthcare leader, student (must be at least 18 years old), or community member, you’ll leave with actionable insights and renewed confidence in supporting healthy aging for yourself and others.
The conference will take place Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 3:15 PM at 125 LIVE. Complimentary respite care is provided for guests attending with a participant.
