Four-week Childbirth Series Class
Our Four-week Childbirth Series prepares expectant parents for their birth experience and the arrival of baby! Practical comfort skills, which include positioning and breathing, to be used during late pregnancy, labor, delivery, and beyond are taught by our experienced instructors.
Information about pain management options, understanding the labor process, and what to expect during your stay at OMC are part of this series. A tour of the BirthCenter is also offered at the end of the series.
Please sign up by your sixth month of pregnancy. Plan to wear comfortable clothing and bring two pillows to every class.
Thank you for registering for OMC Prenatal & Family Education Classes! Our classes are held in the
Founders Room of Olmsted Medical Center – Hospital, 1650 Fourth Street SE, Rochester, Minnesota. The Founders Conference Room is located off of the cafeteria. You may park in the front lot, and enter through the hospital’s main entrance.
*Your safety is important to us, so our class numbers are limited and social distancing/masking will be practiced.
Snacks and break times are provided throughout the class. You are encouraged to bring your own snacks and water/beverage bottle. Please wear a mask, comfortable shoes & clothing, since we will be practicing comfort skills for labor/birth. Four-Week Series and Comforts Plus Childbirth Series: Please bring two pillows.
If you choose to pay with a check, please make it payable to “Olmsted Medical Center.” Tell us the name of your insurance provider, as it may determine the amount of coverage for class payment. You may send payment to our office or bring it with you to class. Scholarships are available for all classes. We will not turn anyone away because of inability to pay.
