When to Schedule a Mammogram

Talk to your primary care provider if you have any breast changes, pain, or symptoms before scheduling a mammogram. For routine screenings, you may schedule directly if:

  • You’re age 40 or older
  • You don’t have breast symptoms (such as pain or a lump)
  • It’s been more than 12 months since your last mammogram
  • You’ve seen your primary care provider within the past two years

📞 To schedule your mammogram, call Radiology Scheduling at 507.292.7151.

Advanced Breast Imaging

At our breast imaging facility in the Women’s Health Pavilion, you’ll benefit from:

  • Digital technology for high-quality images with minimal radiation
  • 3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis): Multiple angles create a clearer picture, making it easier to detect problems early and reducing call-backs for extra testing
  • Personalized care from a team that prioritizes your safety and peace of mind

Insurance & Coverage

Most insurance plans cover annual screening mammograms. Contact your provider to confirm coverage for 3D mammography and other breast imaging services. OMC’s financial services team is available to help with questions.
