Dietitians provide education on a variety of conditions and circumstances affecting dietary needs, including:

  • gastric banding
  • diverticulitis
  • food allergies
  • diabetes
  • high cholesterol
  • hypertension
  • elevated triglycerides
  • congestive heart failure
  • weight loss
  • wounds
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • malnutrition.

While in the hospital, patients do not need a referral for dietary services and they are not charged for dietary service.
