Conditions and Treatments

OMC offers infusion therapy for a variety of medications and treatments, including:

  • antibiotics
  • cancer therapies and other specialty medications
  • hydration therapy for patients needing extra fluids.

What to Expect

Before Treatment

Some patients may need lab work. If so, check in at the Lab/Radiology desk (Main level at OMC Hospital).

If you’ve been waiting more than 15 minutes, please notify the desk staff.

During Treatment

Infusions are administered through a needle or catheter, typically into a vein.

You’ll be monitored by our infusion nurses, who specialize in IV therapy.

If you experience a reaction, our provider can address infusion-related issues immediately.

After Treatment

Your provider will guide any follow-up care or additional treatment needs.
