March 20, 2020 - Important Information: what to do if you think you have COVID-19
At Olmsted Medical Center (OMC), your health is important to us. We understand that you may be feeling uneasy and worried about becoming sick with COVID-19.
If you are experiencing COVID-19 type symptoms, we ask that you stay home and call our Triage Nurse line. One of the nurses will ask about your symptoms and determine the best course of action for your care. We are asking you to call the Nurse Triage line to protect your health and the health of patients in our waiting rooms.
If you are experiencing severe symptoms and/or a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest Emergency department.
OMC’s Triage Nurse can be reached by calling 507.292.7266. Hours are as follows:
- Beginning Monday, March 23 and continuing forward:
- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
To help you stay up to date with what OMC is doing related to COVID-19, we have posted information at this website: https://www.olmmed.org/covid-19-information/. There is also information on how to protect yourself and your family.
If you have not signed up yet for the OMC MyChart patient portal, here is a link to learn more: https://www.olmmed.org/omc-mychart/. One of the many advantages of using OMC MyChart is the ability to send messages to your care provider.
