Areas of Interest
As a nurse practitioner in Family Medicine, Heather Nielsen, APRN, CNP, DNP, is dedicated to enriching lives through expert care. Heather is a family medicine provider at the Olmsted Medical Center Rochester Southeast Clinic and is fluent in Spanish. Her professional interests include family practice, women’s health, preconception and prenatal care, management of chronic conditions, treatment of minor acute illnesses, episodic care for acute illness, immigrant and refugee health, and pediatric health and wellness.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Heather has a passion for increasing access to medical services. She does mission work in Latin America and is fluent in Spanish. Her interests include gardening, hiking, fly-fishing, sewing, and trying new foods.
