As a Family Medicine physician, Matthew Florek, MD, is dedicated to enriching lives through expert care. Dr. Florek has been with OMC since 2017 and practices in our Pine Island clinic. Within Family Medicine, Dr. Florek sees patients from infancy through adulthood across a variety of areas including well child visits, teenagers, women’s health, chronic care management, and more. He specializes in joint injections for the knee, hip, elbow, and shoulder, as well as skin procedures including biopsies and skin cancer incisions. Dr. Florek says, “The most satisfying part of my job is feeling like I really made a difference for a patient by being able to meet them at a point where they might be at their most vulnerable or might have shared something very difficult, and being able to work through that with them and really feel like I made a connection.”
