As an Orthopedic Surgeon in the Orthopedic Sports Medicine department, Mark Herr, MD, is dedicated to enriching lives through expert care. Dr. Herr has been with OMC since 2017 and provides comprehensive clinical and surgical care, specializing in a range of orthopedic issues including those affecting the hip, knee, foot, and ankle such as arthritis, injuries, and fractures. Driven by a passion for education inherited from his family, Dr. Herr finds fulfillment in empowering his patients with knowledge about their conditions and treatment options. He believes that teaching people about their health is the cornerstone of great care, and says, “The best thing I do every day is teach people about their problem and help them understand what’s going on, and then understand how to get better.” Dr. Herr enjoys his role at OMC for the authenticity of his patients and colleagues, and the connections he’s able to form within the southeastern Minnesota community.
