Health Educators

At Olmsted Medical Center (OMC), we believe prevention and education are key to lifelong health. Our Health Educators provide the tools, knowledge, and support you need to make healthy choices and manage your wellbeing.

OMC’s multidisciplinary education team offers programs focused on prevention, self-management, and healthy living. Whether you want to learn about nutrition, diabetes management, or lifestyle changes, our educators are here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Meet Our Health Educators 

Jamie Breuer, RD

Jamie received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Stout and completed her practical training at the University of Minnesota Medical Center–Fairview. She is certified in adult weight management and has been part of the OMC team since 2006. Jamie enjoys helping patients create realistic goals and build lasting habits for better health.

Elizabeth (Liz) Vermilya, RD, LD

Liz earned her Bachelor of Science in Community and Medical Dietetics from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Before joining OMC in 2015, she worked in pediatrics and community health. Liz is certified in pediatric and childhood weight management and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has a passion for helping families support healthy eating at every stage of life.

Greg Hagen, RN, CDE, CHES

Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Olaf College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winona State University. He also completed an internship at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point Health Service and the National Wellness Conference. Greg is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). He has been part of OMC since 1998 and is a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). Greg focuses on helping patients understand and manage their chronic conditions.
