Our Commitment to You
OMC is dedicated to serving as your trusted healthcare partner. We promise care that is compassionate, safe, and inclusive—where every person is treated with dignity and respect.
We believe that exceptional care happens in an environment built on mutual respect. Thank you for helping us create that environment at all OMC locations.
Respectful Behavior
OMC expects respectful communication and behavior from everyone—patients, visitors, and staff.
To ensure safety and quality care, we ask that you:
- follow staff instructions at all times
- speak courteously and respectfully to others
- support a calm, professional environment in person, by phone, or online (including MyChart messages).
You may be asked to leave OMC property, have restricted portal access, or—in rare cases—be dismissed from care if you:
- ignore staff instructions intentionally
- bully, intimidate, or threaten others
- use disrespectful, abusive, or foul language
- commit verbal or physical assault.
OMC staff are required to report any discriminatory or threatening behavior to management. Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ability is not tolerated.
At OMC, respect is everyone’s responsibility. Together, we can ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all.
Visitor Guidelines
We welcome visitors as part of the healing process and value the comfort they bring to our patients. To protect everyone’s health and safety, we ask all visitors to follow these guidelines:
General Visiting Hours
- Regular visiting hours: 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Overnight hours: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM (authorized visitors only)
- Overnight visitors must sign in with Security or Admissions in the Emergency Department lobby and wear a visitor ID badge.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Visitors showing symptoms of illness (such as those related to COVID-19) are not allowed in OMC facilities.
- All visitors must follow OMC infection control policies, including hand hygiene and masking when required.
- Staff may limit or restrict visits at any time to support patient care or maintain a quiet, healing environment.
BirthCenter Visitors
- One wrist-banded support person may visit at any time.
- Parents and grandparents of the baby may visit the nursery (two at a time).
- Exceptions to visitor rules are reviewed case by case based on patient needs.
When Visits May Be Limited
Visiting patients is a privilege that can be modified at any time if necessary for patient safety, rest, or infection control. Decisions are made by the patient care team in the best interest of the patient and their roommate.
OMC may restrict visitor access for:
- security or safety concerns
- infection prevention needs
- patient request or medical reasons.
Thank You
We appreciate your cooperation in helping OMC maintain a safe, healing, and respectful environment for all patients, visitors, and staff.
